I've tried several things but I'm getting:

It is my first time using a NIF, so I might be missing something obvious. In any case, perhaps the README could have instructions for newbie erlangers?

There's some magic that happens when you end up posting your question. 5 minutes right after count more than hours of debugging...

In any case, I had the wrong -pz path in place.
