Is there a certain level of detail that we should be including in regards to equations in the introduction paragraph. There are a ton of equations throughout the lab report, so we are having trouble determining how many would be necessary to include in the introduction

It is only necessary to introduce the top level equations that you use for the analysis. This corresponds to the function calls that you end up using. Thus it isn't necessary to detail the alpha functions, but it is necessary to show the ANC open and closed equations and the CMFR equation.
