Planning for Firefox on Amazon Devices is done using airtable. Logged in users with a mozilla.com email address can follow the links below for details on vision, upcoming projects, and feedback.

Strategic Planning

The Firefox for Amazon Devices Planning Base is the ongoing base to keep track of market feedback and prioritize high level themes & features. Relevant spreadsheets include:

  • Market feedback - a raw list of feedback coming from users. This only includes feedback with a specific problem or suggestion
  • Roadmap - a high level roadmap of features planned over the next few quarters. These items are not committed to, but planned for discussion
  • Themes - a description of the high level things we're trying to achieve in the current year

Quarterly Planning

The Project Tracker for each quarter includes all our planning information for the current quarter. Here's how it's broken up

  • OKRs - Describes our goals for the current quarter, and tracks the status of each
  • Features - List of the included features for the quarter. Includes links to feature briefs, designs, dependencies, and priorities
  • Epics - Features broken down into chunks that we can implement. Should include links to Github ticket so you can check the current status, dependencies, and when the work is scheduled for
  • Sprints - Sprint plan. This describes which epics will be tackled in what sprint, the sprint dates, and any relevant events going on during that time
  • Release - Release plan. We aim to release every sprint, but it doesn't always make sense. This spreadsheet will show the timing for each release.
