vcf2maf deal with vcf files with multiple samples

Hi, I want to convert my combined vcf file containing multiple samples to maf file. Can vcf2maf directly handle this?

I had tried to do this previously and was told that a merged.vcf will not work with vcf2maf, instead youll need to run vcf2maf for every sample in your merged vcf
