Reported by a user: Currently three clicks are necessary to change the current account. There should be a way to change it by one single UI action.

As you mentioned, sliding the screen is a good mean to make good use of touch screen. I suggested to create a button for issue #10 (ease creation of operations) which could be used to make this behavior explicit.

There is an alpha for 1.4.8 in the Downloads implementing a solution.
It consists in a button that switches to the "next" account on click. On long click, a popup opens a list of all accounts to choose from.

Finally, 1.4.8 is out with the suggested functionality.
