/dev/CanvasRecorder.js uses Whammy recorder in Chrome 52. This is due to the conditional on line 46:

if ((!!window.webkitRTCPeerConnection || !!window.webkitGetUserMedia) && chromeVersion < 53) {
        isCanvasSupportsStreamCapturing = false;
}

I tested for support for canvas.captureStream in Chrome 52 with the browser-native canvas.captureStream method, it worked.
