How to integrate with Argo CD without losing native helmfile features?

Description

TL;DR

Is there a solution that syncs and tracks the release with Argo CD AND creates the helm release so we could CI/local diff and test other hooks and helm plugins?

Most solutions use helmfile template and it doesn't generate a helm release as some would expect.
