To copy an element from the score to a palette you need to press Ctrl+Shift, then drag the element into a cell. However this is proving very hit and miss and the problem seems to be in the Ctrl+Shift selection step.
In some scores certain text lines cannot be selected at all; same problem with glissando lines.
Press Ctrl+Shift and try to drag any text element from the first system (say) to an empty cell in a palette.
RESULT: Selection is barred with the white "Not allowed" symbol. This was also the case in MS3 with purely text elements.
Now do the same for the line in measure 10. The critical part is the Ctrl+Shift selection step.
RESULT: Whether selection is succesful or not depends on what part of the line you click.
You may also find it useful to drag other elements, such as hairpins etc., to a palette to see if there are any problems there as well.
