Layers like Ice Velocity (Greenland) are only available for specific time periods. The Timeline data availability bars should reflect these time intervals. e.g.
2000-09-03/2000-09-03/P144D
2005-12-13/2005-12-13/P129D
2006-12-18/2006-12-18/P119D
2007-11-01/2007-11-01/P182D
2008-12-01/2008-12-01/P90D
