Casey Grzecka - just finished (still in beta) an implementation that talks to Orcid through an API
ORCID OAuth – https://github.com/UCLALibrary/libraryweb-site/tree/master/www/sites/all/modules/contrib/orcid_integration/orcid_oauth
^^ to be put in the main orcid_integration module on drupal.org – https://www.drupal.org/project/orcid_integration (not currently in sync)
