I use your (great) app on the train quite a bit, to study while in the
communication black hole that is the subway, as well as out around town and so
forth, where queries across the mobile network can be expensive unless one is
using wifi.
Since the dictionary that backs Jim Breen's WWWJDIC is under a free license
(even for commercial use), have you considered an option where the user can
reference a local copy? It's >200MB in SQLite format, so it's a bit of a space
investment, but providing it as an option would be fantastic for dedicated
learners and referencers, especially with ever cheapening storage options.
Apologies if it's in there already; I've searched the settings, and have not
found a way to do this.

You can't find it, offline use is not currently available. This is probably the
most
requested feature, see the FAQ:
http://code.google.com/p/wwwjdic/wiki/FAQ#Q:_Will_there_be_an_offline_version?
Offline access is certainly doable, but not trivial, so not sure if I will ever
do it.
BTW, WWWJDIC traffic is text only and is compressed, so I don't think price is
an issue even if you are billed by the MB for mobile access.
