Progress since Last Meeting

  • Fixed markdown bug from last time
  • Added pdf download option
  • Fixed undo delete sync issue
  • Showed latest release version working well via screen share on skype
  • Showed import of jupyter notebooks with markdown working
  • Showed demonstration video which Microsoft liked
  • Finished Hack-booth Materials and Logistics have been taken care of

Suggestions from Microsoft

  • Add collapsible regions for markdown in text editor
  • Linked images should show on output, as images can sometimes not show as the user may not have access to image if not connected to internet. Complete absolute urls would be a great feature.
  • For imported markdown cards, dashed lines can make them into multi-line literals instead of strange dashes showing up on the editor, but the output works fine. Hashes in front, could be a quick fix. Would be awesome if you could just run it, you don’t want end-user to change things just to run it.

General Comments

  • Microsoft have things to share with us on memory performance
  • Creator of Vs Code Editor will be introduced to us, to possibly enact a change to vs code which may help us make extension faster using optimisation
  • Add MIT licence to licence file
  • Summarise survey response
  • Microsoft will fork our repository and then they will work on it as a starting point
  • Microsoft may have to work on optimisation
  • Give quotes, pictures and stuff and treat hack-booth presentation like a product launch
  • Could make a summary of the hack-booth presentation
  • We will have one more meeting with Microsoft to wrap things up
