For a bit of insight into where my head is at, I see "Are.na Toolkit" as simply being another recombination of what are.na's current expression is (a visual index for research).

Have been taking a look at some "Arena Influence" material and love the simplicity of simply taking the existing stars and re-arranging them into a new configuration, possibly "outlined" to gesture towards their unfinished, always changing/recombinating nature via the toolkit.

With how they're stacked, we might even be able to make Identicons for tools / organizations / users.
