Page number content disappears on resize IE9+ possibly older? #1

Page loads fine but if you resize the page number content is removed from the DOM.

The reason IE stops showing page numbers on resize() is that the underlyinig anchor tag objects have gone invalid. This
copies any needed anchor tag data to a scoped data structure before the anchor tags go invalid.
