Visualizing BLAST score distributions in RStudio

Wouldn't be easy to parse the blast output for plotting e-value distributions in R if the blast output is tab delimited or comma separated instead of the default flat query anchored type?

yes, absolutely. My idea is to run another BLAST in the long-running BLAST section, and specify the output format to be text.

Oh. For that page, I can only think of running the same blastp command as before with a different out_fmt type and include few sentences of how is it different from the default one.
