What

We've identified a need for guidance for NHS websites/services, like the GOV.UK standards: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/content-design/url-standards-for-gov-uk. The NHS website information architecture team has done some work on this.

Why

URLs are important, especially in a health information context where users need reassurance that the information is trustworthy.

URLs always need always need to be clear, unambiguous, easy to read, easy to type and easy to share.
