Truthicator

Truthicator is a chrome extension that can classify fake news site, texts and find the original sources of images in the web. The project is the winner of the NEC fake news challenge for the Global AI Hackathon 2017.

Chrome extension installation guide:

  1. Download and unpack the ZIP with the project https://github.com/nicoheidtke/aihackathon/archive/master.zip

  2. Click settings dropdown in Chrome Browser > Click 'More tools' and then 'Extension' tab in the appeared window > Check 'Developer mode' checkbox > Click 'Load Unpacked Extension... ' > Select 'chrome' folder in unpacked project repository

  3. Chrome will automatically install the extension.

Usage:

  1. Select text or image and click right button. Click in contextual menu 'Text Truthiness' or 'Image Truthiness'

  2. A pop up window will appear with the information about selected piece of the content.
