Fork, Commit, Merge - Easy Issue (Haskell)

Calculate the Factorial of a Number

Note: You don't have ask permission to start solving the issue or get assigned, since these issues are supposed to be always open for new contributors. The actions-user bot will reset the file back to previous state for the next contributor after your commit is merged. So you can just simply start working with the issue right away!

Open the tasks/haskell/easy directory from the root of your project.

Then open a file called Factorial.hs.

Description:

The goal of this task is to create a Haskell program that computes the factorial of a given number.

For example:

Enter a number: 5
Factorial of 5 is 120

Acceptance Criteria:

  • The program prompts the user to enter a number.
  • The program calculates and displays the factorial of the given number.

To run the program you need to first compile it with the command:

ghc -o tasks/haskell/easy/factorial tasks/haskell/easy/Factorial.hs

After the program is compiled, you can run:

./tasks/haskell/easy/factorial

This will run the program, and if it successfully prompts you by asking you to enter a number and then calculating and displaying the factorial of the given number, you are ready to make a pull request!

To work with this issue, you need to have Haskell installed to your local machine.
Check out README.md for more instructions of installing Haskell and how to make a pull request.
