Here's an implementation of boundary first flattening. At the moment it supports flattening using target scale factors or angles along the boundary. However, it is limited to topological disks - there is no support for placing cone singularities or cuts yet.
Also, I added a Parameterization section to the docs. It's a little weird, since it only talks about BFF at the moment, but I imagine that there will be more algorithms to discuss one day :)
