Bug Report

Paste in large amount of text that exceeds the models context window

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Paste in massive wall of text that will exceed the context window
  2. Press enter
  3. Get a message that says 'Prompt is to long...' and then the app stalls.

Expected Behavior

App shouldn't stall and force me to restart the application.

Your Environment

  • GPT4All version: 3.0.0
  • Operating System: Macbook Pro M2 16GB, Ventura 13.3.1
  • Chat model used (if applicable): llama 8b instruct
