nParse not detecting logs #23
Comments
What causes them to start working again? Just some info on the log reader: The application looks for what log files are there when it opens and only tracks those log files. If you create a new character, you will need to restart nParse for it to read logs. |
The error came from me, I had incorrectly entered the logs folder |
@Haakaah have you deleted your settings file and see if it works? (nparse.config.json) |
i have deleted this files and all the folder too but not work |
@Haakaah Please submit a new issue rather than tacking things on to another issue. Thanks! |
When you set the Everquest logs directory in 0.5.1, make sure you double click the logs directory before pressing ok on the folder select prompt. You may actually be selecting your Everquest folder. Feel free to respond if it didn't work and I can reopen. |
I've been using nParse for a few months and it's a great program. Occasionally, however, it will go through periods where it fails to read the log files. I followed the installation steps (https://github.com/nomns/nparse/wiki/Installation) and selected the folder containing the log files for my characters. nParse opens fine without any error messages. And when I open the log files themselves, I can see that they're populating correctly. But when I hit "/loc" or cast a spell in the game, the maps/spells windows do not register, even though the logs do. And ideas?
