Can't for the life of me get this working. Do you have a drop-in example to start from?

Yes, I have mPlayer installed and works fine, tested both clicking media and in the terminal.

Try running node test.js - it's a very simple example playing back a radio stream. Haven't really tested this out with video files, as this is my only usecase :)

Sorry such a late reply, life went off the rails for a while. Yes, for my use I got this to work ok. In the end I used a different approach.
