Red Cabbage with Apples

Perfect for freezing and thawing when needed

Ingredients

  • Butter
  • 1 x Onion
  • 1 x Red Cabbage
  • A dozen of apples
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Ground clove
  • Cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Cut the onion into cubes and the red cabbage into strips
  2. Cut the apples into quarters
  3. In a pressure cooker, over medium heat, melt the butter and brown the onions.
  4. Add the apples and red cabbage
  5. Add salt, pepper, cloves and cinnamon to your liking
  6. Stir
  7. Add water to the pressure cooker until it is halfway up
  8. Heat for half an hour
  9. Let rest
  10. Mix with a hand mixer until it has the consistence of an apple sauce

This 🇧🇪 recipe is perfect for eating with sausages. It can be frozen and thawed when there is a need for more vegetables in a meal.
