kTICDSClientDeviceIdentifier and ClientDevices directory

Good morning eveyone, I would like to better understand the following process: when a client registers itself, a new subdirectory under the "ClientDevices" one is created, this subdir get the kTICDSClientDeviceIdentifier name. If I uninstall and reinstall the app from a device and link it again to Dropbox, a new dir with a different kTICDSClientDeviceIdentifier name is created, even if the device is the same...am I missing something? What about the old directory, it will stay there forever?
