[BUG] <title>Unable to add my password #2481

Current Behavior:

when i type

npm adduser

After adding my username I am not able able to type my password ... whatever I type nothing shows in Terminal

I tried Hyper terminal , VS Code terminal , Bash and even Windows command Line but nothing worked

$ npm adduser
Username: iamjarvis ( for example )
Password:

Environment:

  • Node: v14.15.1
  • npm: 6.14.8

Kindly help .... Thanks A lot

This is by design; it’s so someone reading over your shoulder can’t read the password. It’s how all password prompts work on unixy systems.
