Twitch Docks not minimized when starting with --minimize-to-tray
Parameter
#8614
Comments
Are the docks docked or floating? |
This is the result of a workaround to prevent crashes in Qt when restoring docks while the window is minimised. See #8135 |
Is there a fix because even if I disable the chat dock it pops up on the next restart? |
There is unfortunately no way around it for the moment. The alternative is that OBS would crash on every startup, so we have opted for the lesser of two evils here. We would still like to fix this properly with no side effects from a workaround, but it's likely a bug in Qt itself. |
There is actually a workaround. I looked at #8135 and as long as the last state OBS was in isn't fullscreen before starting minimized, the docks don't pop up at least for me. |
