Expected Behavior

OBS should start minimized to tray and the replay buffer should be active on scene "Valorant".

Current Behavior

When adding the --minimize-to-tray parameter OBS (as it should) start minimized to tray but the twitch docks like Chat, Streaminformation etc are visible windows.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have Twitch Docks enabled
  2. Start OBS with parameter --minimize-to-tray

Anything else we should know?

Are the docks docked or floating?

You cant see OBS there are just the Docks floating around on the Desktop and they dont have the Close, Maximize and Minimize buttons on the top right either.

This is the result of a workaround to prevent crashes in Qt when restoring docks while the window is minimised. See #8135

Is there a fix because even if I disable the chat dock it pops up on the next restart?

There is unfortunately no way around it for the moment. The alternative is that OBS would crash on every startup, so we have opted for the lesser of two evils here. We would still like to fix this properly with no side effects from a workaround, but it's likely a bug in Qt itself.

There is actually a workaround. I looked at #8135 and as long as the last state OBS was in isn't fullscreen before starting minimized, the docks don't pop up at least for me.
