I have to bring it up, I'm just not that big a fan of the name ORS :)
Perhaps its because its too close and seems like a typo of CORS :)

How about something that ends in ON (Object-Notation), as that's common suffix to all of these?

I'll throw a few out:
SLON (Sorted Line-oriented Object Notation)
LOSON (Line-Oriented Sorted/Streaming Object Notation)
PON (Prefixed Object Notation)
PSON (Prefixed Streaming Object Notation)
and so on...

S can be either sorted or streaming, both good

Naming is a difficult thing and I gave it some time before reaching to this name. I prefer short and compact names over long names. CORS is a popular term, but it has nothing to do with the data serialization, so I would not worry about that. Additionally, I think the ORS format certainly makes the file sort-friendly, but that's not the only virtue it brings and often sorting is not even required by the format itself. I would also point out that the prefix key is not mandatory, hence it probably does not deserve to be present in the name. Currently proposed name precisely tells that the data is a stream of resources in object style. However, any short and good name suggestion is welcome.
