There are plans to use own codecs instead of QtMultimedia (but "when" is depended on users' feedback). This will allow gapless playback, equalizer and more. Atm QtMultimedia provides easy cross-platform audio decoding/output, but it's super limited in features - good enough to begin with. So the answer is "yes, if people find it useful"
Even after just a day of using mpz, I'm starting to really like it. Have a star from me!
I really hope gapless playback is added. But things like graphic equalizer are unnecessary. I've seen so many music players that just add feature after feature and become bloated junk.
Maybe my comments are ironic, as I've requested gapless playback. But from my circle of music lovers, it's very high up as a core feature.
Are there any plans to add gapless playback?
