OMERO.features

The aim of OMERO.features is to design and implement a cross-platform public API for storing and retrieving image features in OMERO. OMERO currently has the ability to store tabular data through OMERO.tables, but the addition of several partner projects such as OMERO.searcher and WND-CHRM has revealed some limitations in the API.

A key requirement of OMERO.features is to support interoperability between OMERO and external applications. Initial discussions led to some ideas, and following discussions on the OME development mailing lists we're currently working with API Outline.
