Currently, in the version history of a form, it is possible to differentiate between the different versions only on the basis of a timestamp. Especially in instances where multiple persons are editing forms, it would be helpful to be able to submit a work log when saving a form - so the other editors can know what has been changed.

Refinement: Discussed on how to do this non-intrusive. For example, "quick save" and a "save with message" button. The latter asking for a commit message. This might also pose a challenge regarding the atomic commit action related to various data that is persisted via different endpoints.
Additionally, the history/version functionality could use some cleanup/refactor altogether. Are there too many versions saved now? Restoring an old version also saves a new version, is this desired?
Would it be possible to generate a summary of the diff between the versions when saving? and start the commit message with this (auto generated) summary and allow the addition of or replaced by a custom message?
