Change of surface connector type does not work properly

Triads connected to an FE part via a rigid or flexible surface connector has the option to switch surface connector type from Rigid to Flexible or vice versa in the property panel. of the GUI However, doing so will render the FE model invalid as the reference node of the surface connector looses its external status and therefore will not be retained in the model reduction process.
