I couldn't tell from the presentation or the github wiki or any of the READMEs if the raspberry pi camera lens needs removed or not.

Hi,

Yeah, we removed the rasPi camera lens and focussed the image straight
onto the CMOS chip. Sorry, we'll have to update the wiki to include this.

I just found this mentioning removing the lens:

It would be nice if these were merged, and links added to the READMEs:
