/assign @dperaza4dustbit cherry pick of the 2 4.10 / master branch PRs in the description to 4.9.z ultimately going to backport this fix across the still supported OCP releases per https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/openshift which most likely will mean back to 4.7, given 4.9 will GA soon |
the okd failures are in the generic test sigs in each of those suites ... the samples related tests / sigs passed /skip to clear them out for tide |

yeah @dperaza4dustbit we are in "almost shipping 4.9 mode" in ocp, which means the pipeline is not accepting 4.9.z fixes yet; so any bz that is not for a stop ship bug (like this one) has to sit and wait until 4.9 ships and we can get a valid bz label |

merge conflicts and multiple PRs #394 #397 required to fix in 4.10, so a manual cherry pick vs. using the cherry-pick bot is required for this one
