From time to time we see questions about software not distributed by us in binary form, it might be good to explain a bit what we ship, how it's called and how you can use ports to build packages on the machine which are not being shipped by us.

Adding other repositories (FreeBSD, HardenedBSD) has risks, which is good to warn about upfront.
