Add a feature to record your track (ride, walk, etc)

I'd love to see this feature in organic maps.
For me and other users I know this is a dealbreaker and the reason why Osmand+ is used.
I assume it's not only about recording tracks but also saving and naming them, opening and showing saved tracks on the map and being able to see statistics of recorded tracks?

Here you can find more informations even though ther was an (ui) update some time ago. The easiest way would probably be to download and use the app for yourself.
Their blog has also some more informations about it.

Recording my route is the one reason why I still have Osmand on my phone. I would not even need naming, storing, and viewing multiple tracks, just the latest one, so I could see where I have been when I come home. Would be nice if they could be shared, the same way as the location can, then I could mail them to myself.

Yeah, basically track load (import from gpx, kml) and route record (to gpx and kml) is why we all use other apps and not this one (gaia, locus, osmand, etc). If this gets implemented it would be a game changer.

I would love this too!

+1. I'd really love this feature.

I hope this is high on the list for near future enhancements for Android, where we don't have the recent track option.

I would use it to record which trails I followed on my hikes, so as to be able to inform others as well of where we went.

Any update?

Please don’t comment to add a +1 or ask for update. It needlessly pings everyone watching this issue.

I am keeping this ticket just because it has 50 likes. All design discussions happen in #2147.
