OID Generation and perspectives

OID generation has been customly defined with QGEP as a profitable mechanism to uniquely identify from the obj_id :

• its owner,
• its object type,
• its feature number

It has also cons like the fact that this OID generation can only be generated when connected to the database.
It also has shown some limitations with the number of entities it can handle.
It also has shown some limitations when exporting, altering and then reimporting data.
It is very custom and requires a specific introduction, configuration, prefix ordering, ...
