  1. add prev / next buttons to the fancybox imageviewer that will open the previous / next available image from the filelist.
  2. add a slideshow button to the fancybox so users can trigger a full screen slideshow from the imageviewer.

This kind of imageviewer could also be used in the guest filelist for shared files. I know I'ts not the 'shared gallery' feature, but close enough. You see a list of files you click one, you can do prev / next / slideshow (which has thumbnails).

@jancborchardt @DeepDiver1975 @MTGap @icewind1991 @karlitschek tell me what you think, then I'll start adding this as it solves a customer requirement.

Also see #83 and #84

In general, the »Slideshow« function seems a bit weird as it’s a second form of preview. The preview/fancybox is a slideshow already, and/or should be made more like a slideshow if we need that, rather than having 2 modes of something really really similar, which is simply: viewing images as large as possible, one after another.

@karlitschek @icewind1991 @jancborchardt Ok, for a customer I removed the fancybox preview from files completely and just open the new slideshow from the pictures app. Works like a charm and customer likes it. Should I backport?

I second thta idea and please also make this feature available for public shared files/folders of images.

I tried enabling fancybox' gallery feature via the lightbox.js file but it seems this needs more knowledge about the intentions of registered FileViewers.

Thanx for your great product!

@butonic Isn't this solved with #1123?

Is there anything specific to be configured for this to be active? Or is it not included in owncloud 5? Just updated to 5.0.9, but don't see any way to use this, the image preview still shows just the picture, and no way to switch to previous/next image.
To have this would really be the killer feature in my opinion!

@RandolfCarter It's just included in the master branch and not in stable5 ... so it will be shipped with oc 6.

@kabum thanks for the info! Maybe it would be a good idea to set the "Milestone" accordingly?

Hi Randolf,
it seems the only necessary action would be to replace this file with the latest (10 months old) version:
https://github.com/owncloud/apps/blob/master/files_imageviewer/js/lightbox.js

You have to disable the gallery app but then it works for me.

Greetings,
Daniel
