I have a problem when working with digitizations from the Elektronika L1-08 VTR (reel-to-reel, 1975). I often see the "possibly skipped field" warning.
And I guess what the essence of the problem is - the device is special, half-frame, the developers lowered the speed of the tape by recording only one field (the second head is turned off when recording), which is read twice during playback. To do this, one of the heads is located higher than the other, so that when the tape moves, the same field is read. The heads here are not tilted like VHS, so this is possible.
Is it possible to add a key that will allow vhs-decode to adequately handle both "first" fields in the frame?
