Maccy is a fantastic app, but I had to come back to this page to figure out how to use parts of it (I couldn't figure out how to pin something). It'd be great to have an Info page with the instructions as a tab in preferences, or maybe put the info in the About page.

Thanks for your hard work! Maccy is excellent.

I noticed in a recent app store review that the user complained of a lack of onboarding instructions on first use. Would you like to implement this in place of this issue, or in addition to?

I would say in addition to, or like I said, maybe in the About panel. Think about a user who has used the app for months but wants to add a pin. If they used to know how to do it but forgot, first-use instructions aren't helpful anymore.

The way I think about this is that there is a help shown when needed. For example, when you open Maccy and freeze trying to remember how to pin items, the preview popup shows up (in 2 seconds by default) and there is a text what you should press to pin (or remove) item.

I agree it's worth having the manual somewhere in-app, just not sure how useful it actually is compared to an effort in localizing the manual to all supported 15 languages.

In regards to the first time instructions, probably a splash screen should be good explaining default shortcuts, how to paste, etc.

I agree. Maccy is very intuitive to use so I don't personally see the need for an instruction page, hence the reason in asking the question. Since you see the benefit in the first use splash screen, I will create a PR.

Personally, I think the idea of a first-time tutorial is a great compromise between only providing help when needed and a complete documentation page. If users who do need help can get just enough to get started while those who love reading docs can still go to the full versions elsewhere, then that's a win-win.

Maccy is localized to 16 languages at the moment - I frankly can't imagine myself creating first-time instructions or a help page in all the languages. I would not mind merging PRs with this implemented, but I'd like to focus on a more pressuring topics (storage increase, bugfixes, etc).
