Would it be possible to create connection defaults (per connection type, maybe per connection type per user)?

For example, my Windows Server 2019 VM's really don't like reconnecting on resize, so I would like to set the RDP resize method default to "Display update".

Display update didn't work for me, but I used RDP with Windows Server 2012 R2. Does it work if you set it ? (I thought there is a some problem with guacd currently)

Regarding your question - I currently think how to implement it better. I had ideas on setting defaults per folder (e.g. you make some default at folder level and it automatically propagates to all connections in it and it's subfolders if they have appropriate "inherit" flag set. Other thing which I will try to implement - multiedit (ability to select many connections and set some parameter for all of selected connections). But this is in a bit more distant future :)

Currently what I use for similar use case - create a template connection and duplicate it in admin. Or just select a connection which settings you like and duplicate it (action selector on the bottom of page in admin).

Ah, so far I've been only using Server 2016 and Server 2019. The other update method works, but if you do the resizing "too quickly", Windows sometimes will freak out and go to 100% CPU and keep any new connections from working (even with MS's own MSTSC). Thankfully I've been doing this on non-critical servers since I've had to cold restart them to fix it. So far the display update has been fine.

And ah, great idea to duplicate a template connection, that would work too!
