hgt files not in git ignore

Uncrompessed hgt files in e.g. the data directory should be added to the .gitignore file (*.hgt)

No problem to add that, but why do you have uncompressed srtm files in there in the first place?

Since some date comes from third parties like that. Also sometimes one want to uncompress and alter some data in the hgt swiftly oneself. e.g. a "fake" hgt with obstacles to avoid self created. Yes, one can alter it compress it, test, etc. etc. Still it is handy to have hgt files in the directory.

Just going over some micro annoyances once written down.

e.g. accidentally adding a .hgt to a repo uploading a big fat HGT caused some inconvenience to the telephone bill in the past while testing in the field somewhere in the middle of nowhere, ahum...
