Wings disappear after laying in bed

For some reason when I try to sleep my wings disappear. And I mean fully gone, it's not a visual glitch. Like the potion effect is gone. Im not sure why it does that. It's not even fully sleeping to the next day, if I just lay in the bed and leave the bed they will disappear. I'm not sure what to do.
