Search pane with missing section

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. create an index with 300 fields
2. load the index in luke and navigate to search tab
3. the search expression pan takes the whole width of UI. Search button is not 
visible. Search cannot be performed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
On search tab, there are expression pane on the left and search/analyse pane on 
the right. With large number of fields, the right pane is not visible at any 
window size

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v3.5 and v4 alpha

Please provide any additional information below.
This is on Mac OS/X with Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 
1.6.0_35-b10-428-11M3720)
Attached image shows the search expression left pane takes the whole width of 
UI.
