There are no exported symbols at all. Using shared libraries is not recommended.
This is not (yet) a fundamental problem in Linux, but it is in Windows, because the importing .lib is not generated. In this case, the DLL generation in Windows is disabled for now, and only the static lib is generated/linked in the examples. This is suboptimal.
