Looking for examples where the -Skip switch is used

The only place i've been able to find -skip mentioned was in the command reference which is unhelpful. I'm interested if I can leverage this in my test cases, but I'm unclear on how I would use it, the issue where it was added pester/Pester#1266 and suggested pester/Pester#442 don't really talk about a working usage of it.
