There are various unclear performance issues in the framework, in particular:

  • symbolic expression vs. methods in processes, what is faster under which circumstances?
  • how much does networkx affect performance?
  • are there any other pitfalls, like calling methods for each individual instead of butch updating?

To clearify this line profiling and documentation of the results should be provided.
