This'd be perfect. I wonder what's a realistic approach. I could tag these using JS pretty easily, but folks on Shopify, Squarespace, WordPress probably use the built-in GA integrations and would have no idea how to do the tagging. Google Tag Manager is probably not GDPR ok, at least it'd be risky. So I wonder how would that work. Regarding the dashboard, kinda cloning the screenshot you had with very minimal UI. And maybe just using the normal events like <script> plausible('Purchase', {props: {orderID: '1101', orderGrandTotal: 19}}); </script>...but if the event name is a specific one like Transaction or ECommerce or Purchase, those events would then be viewable with a dashboard like in your screenshot, maybe? Could funnels and monetary values kinda solve all this, and also be more flexible for any conversion tagging, be it more broad e-commerce with thousands of products or simpler, more "funnely" type of sites. |

One more report on what companies look for in terms of preset ecommerce reports: "The items that they specifically wanted to track were:
While I imagine we could use raw custom goals to achieve this, it felt a bit hacky and I'd have a lot more confidence integrating an e-commerce tracking system if there was a preset structure in place. Piggybacking the DataLayer structure and using the same labels would enable Plausible to be applied anywhere that GTM/GA have been supported. I imagine this would work best as a supplementary or alternative script so that the core tracking could remain as wonderfully lightweight as it is." Related thread: #1806 |

Update: Latest version of our WordPress plugin introduces a WooCommerce integration for revenue attribution tracking. The WooCommerce integration automatically sets up several custom events (including add to cart and remove from cart), revenue tracking for completed purchases, custom properties (including product name, price and total cart items) and a checkout funnel to help you understand the cart abandonment rate. No need to manually set up anything nor to edit your code. Details at: https://plausible.io/wordpress-analytics-plugin |

We've heard about this a lot over the last few days as more people discover Plausible so starting a new thread to collect all the feedback. Many sites use GA's Enhanced ecommerce reports and are looking for a privacy friendly alternative.
This seems to be the main view that people love that we should try to replicate with Plausible. It should also be possible to filter the dashboard by any of these segments in order to see the most effective referral sources and other metrics.
All the product information and activity gets sent to Google using a datalayer. Could be nice if we can do this automagically too as an enhanced measurement.
This alongside funnels and monetary values would make a great ecommerce reporting solution that would cover majority of needs.
