Try to add following option to your config file.

  "RunAs.globsMapToCommand": [
    {
      ...
      "exceptions": [
        ...
        {
          "globs": "*.sh",
          "command": "sh ${rPath}"
        }
      ]
    }
  ]

On ubuntu:
