This bug cannot be accounted for by cat /etc/os-release, as the bug is a problem with the kernel's support for the hardware side.

Related Application and/or Package Version (run apt policy $PACKAGE NAME):

After testing, it was found that there is no software package that causes bugs [Kernel error?]

Issue/Bug Description:

I have gone through a lot of tests in terms of software packages, in which the first test of this bug I found after updating the 6.8.0 kernel, the specific performance: only two of the eight sata interfaces can be used, and after updating the 6.8.0 kernel after the other together with the bug is that after starting the file manager will appear very long loading time and may not be able to open the file management application, I have I have a lot of hard drives, so I tested it

COPY's system
1.1 m.2 installed 6.6.10 kernel All sata ports available
1.2 m.2 with 6.8.0 kernel installed Only two sata ports are available.

Completely reinstalled system
2.1 m.2 installed 6.6.10 kernel All sata ports available
2.2 m.2 with 6.8.0 kernel installed Only two sata ports are available.

COPY's system
3.1 sata interface ssd install 6.6.10 kernel All sata interfaces available
3.2 sata interface ssd installation 6.8.0 kernel Only two sata interfaces available

Completely reinstalled system
4.1 sata interface ssd install 6.6.10 kernel All sata interfaces available
4.2 sata interface ssd installation 6.8.0 kernel Only two sata interfaces available

COPY's system
5.1 sata interface mechanical drive Installation 6.6.10 kernel All sata interfaces available
5.2 sata interface mechanical hard disc Installation 6.8.0 kernel Only two sata interfaces available

Completely reinstalled system
6.1 sata interface mechanical drive Installation 6.6.10 kernel All sata interfaces available
6.2 sata interface mechanical hard disc Installation 6.8.0 kernel Only two sata interfaces available

COPY's system
7.1 usb interface ssd installed 6.6.10 kernel All sata interfaces available
7.2 usb interface ssd installation 6.8.0 kernel Only two sata interfaces available

Completely reinstalled system
8.1 usb interface ssd installed 6.6.10 kernel All sata interfaces available
8.2 usb interface ssd installation 6.8.0 kernel Only two sata interfaces available

[Here is the test I did when I tried 'Completely reinstalled system' and found that the PE install boot system could not read the other sata ports either.]
?1? PE boot install of POP'os using a normal USB stick Kernel 6.8.0 kernel Only two sata ports available [pop-os_22.04_amd64_intel_40.iso].
?2? Installation of the PE boot installer of POP'os using a normal USB stick Kernel 6.0.6 (I realised that I didn't save the PE boot installer of the 6.6.10 kernel at this point of the test) All sata ports available

[update]
Another problem I found after testing is that the hard disc reads and writes seem to be hindered/slowed down by the "blocking/slowing down of the hard discs". The read/write progress of the drives becomes quite (ups and downs, checked? The read/write curves seem to be exaggerated)", and when the only two remaining drives are reading/writing it throws this "failed command read fpdma queued "I found this warning in the TTY interface
[Problematic mechanical hard drives]
seagate ST8000NM0055

[update]
The hard drive disappears from the system 100% of the time when reading and writing, there is no way to read the hard drive information can only reboot the system, but after the reboot will still encounter the problem of disappearance when reading and writing, infinite loop?

[update?]
This bug is still too serious for me, I'd better flee to manjaro for refuge until it's fixed!
[I've got game events to attend]

6.9.3 was released last week. Did it fix this?
