"cross chequy" not visually aligned -- a way to fix?

Can you provide an example blazon that demonstrates the problem?

Using the alternative term "counter-compony" it is not chequy at all.

What version of drawshield are you using?

What browser and version where you using to view the shield? Does the
problem also occur on other browsers?
